I am from under Hugo's bed

From A&W

And Peter's salty tears from exams

I am from deep in the couch

the deep, dark, endless space of couch.

I am from dandelion and the maple tree.

I am from x-mas and kindness

From Hugo and Charlotte and Clara

I am from the dishes done by hand

And laundry

I am from "Don't touch that!"

And "Set up the table."

I am from the land of baguettes and the land of maple

I'm from MADE IN CANADA (not cheaply)

And Macaroni and Cheese

From the time I broke the porch light

The time I lost in Monopoly

And the death of Grandma.
