Adela currently resides in Calgary, Alberta with her dog, Mazzy. She presently spreads her love of literature and writing as a high school English teacher, where she also coaches spoken word poetry. She has written several articles for SOS kids magazine, and continues to write mostly nonfiction and poetry. Much of her work centres on family life, immigration, and cultural identity.
